How to burlesque "eyebrow tricks"

How to shape and beautify your eyebrows.
Eyebrows are an important stage element. They set the mood, frame your eyes, which are the window to the soul, and they are not only subject to eyebrow pencil. Check out this trick for shaping, and painting your eyebrows before taking to the stage.
  • Keeping a shape that is easy to work with usually means a thick base toward the center of your forhead, and a tapered edge toward the ear end of the eyebrow. Plucking is the most traditional form of shaping, but you can also use wax strips or gel to remove hair and shape the brow. Once you do this a talc or tonic may be applied to ease any red skin. Easier than that, most salons that do hair or nails can accomodate you eyebrow shaping needs. Never do the shaping the day of your performance, as it may take a day or two for the skin to calm down and regularize from being agitated by wax or tweezers.
  • Once you have shaped the eyebrow, it's time to paint it. Most people will reach for the 'eyebrow pencil' but I say there is something you can use before that, to ensure a long lasting brow for the night. There is really great trick I found out when I was working as a stripper called mascara. Using mascara as the eyebrow pencil was an amazing discovery and one I found because I saw a product in the beuaty supply store called 'eyebrow brush' and it looked just like mascara. Having gone to jet black this made it easy for me to use 'waterproof mascara' on my brow, with a very light touch, and finish it off with a traditioinal eyebrow pencil. The mascara being brushed on made the hair on the brow thicker and substantial, allowing a quick pencil on top of that to finalize an edge. The techinique has really saved me when I performed in hotter situation where everything melts.

Check it out and you may never go back to the traditional eyebrow pencil again.

Photo by tripsavy.com As some of you might have heard there are record numbers participating in a protest movement called Occupy Wall Street. I've written a small synopsis and it is a bit lengthy but pretty interesting, and you should go ahead and read it so you can explain it to your neighbor, because this is going to be very large news.
