Catherine d'Lish by bluehairmedia.com The Burlesque Hall of Fame Weekend  held its 56th annual all-star Burlesque Showcase and Tournament of Tease Weekender Event, May 30 - June 2, 2013 at The Orleans Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, which was established as a fundraiser for the Burlesque Hall of Fame's at what is now a tiny little museum storefront in Downtown Las Vegas. The event has been held at many locations in the past since 2006 when it moved from Los Angeles to Vegas. Venues for the event have included the Palms, The Celebrity Theater, and The Plaza Hotel. The Hall's Weekender has experienced a lot of drama among organizers including during 2011, rivalry among board members [ Wall St. Journal ]. But there was no sign of any of strife at this year's event held during the first week of June as is its tradition featuring a competition, awards, and showcases. June 2, 2012, by Cory of Blue Hair Media The Burlesque Hall of Fame just wrapped up its 22nd edition of the Weekend Festivities in June, only to be informed soon thereafter that their storage facility is smack dab in the middle of a Hwy.15 expansion here in Las Vegas, Nevada. The deadline ends August 31, 2012. A heated campaign fundraising is under-way at Indigogo  to help accommodate the rarities that are housed in storage, and to take the opportunity to move to a more expansive space. A mission statement on the BHOF website (BurlesqueHall.com) states clearly what the Non-Profit organization -of which the museum is only a part- is all about. On June 3, 2012 the new Queen was congratulated by Imodesty Blaize of London (Europe's Top Showgirl, Best Debut BHOF 2006, Miss Exotic World 2007 ), with this online Twitter post (syc): Congrats Imogen Kelly for winning Reigning Queen 2012! I wanted to know how she planned to handle the year of duties as the new Queen, like the Queen's Tour, here in the states? She told me: "We are talking about spending a year in the States." Michelle L'Amour by "Time Out" I took a chance at my final opportunity to interview Michelle L'amour (Chicago - Miss Exotic World 2004, America’s Got Talent, Naked Girls Reading) Sunday night about an hour after her headlining performance at the Icons and All-star show at the Burlesque Hall of Fame 2012 event (Las Vegas Orleans Hotel June 1-3 ). She had just performed as one of the few closing acts, almost the closing act of the weekend. Her act was gorgeous and dramatic. Herself and Franky Vivid are listed as the Executive Team members of nightly show production, a big deal when handling an 800 person room for four nights of two-to-four hour variety shows. I put aside my sense of star-struck long enough to eek out this interview, and Michelle was so kind and charming to accommodate me as she was just about to have supper. BASTARD KEITH (NY) Sunday June 3, 2012 I was able to drag Bastard Keith away from his wife for just a minute and we stood outside Big Al's Lounge at the Orleans post events Sunday night. This is what a skilled host and MC had to tell us about introducing all those renowned stars. FT: Is this your first time hosting the BHOF  (LasVegas) .  BK: Yes it was. It was amazing, It was an honor. It was so much fun. It was oddly relaxing because it was like being in a living room with a bunch of friends. A very dirty, naked living room, with very dirty naked friends. FT: What were some of your highlights? BK: One of the highlights was actually making it on stage. I've been kind of in recovery from a little bit of illness and exhaustion. So, just the fact that I was able to get up there and not pass out was great. by Frankie Tease Live from Viva Las Vegas 15 , I  stopped the very busy Miss Kitty Baby from Seattle who answered a few questions poolside after the Vintage swimsuit contest, an annual event at the Viva Las Vegas Rockabilly Weekend held in Las Vegas yearly on Easter weekend. On the final day, we chatted, but only after I saw her smiling face and lovely figure many times in the halls and events. To say the least, she stands out. FT:How long have you been doing Burlesque?  MKB: About six years. FT: How long have you been involved in Viva Las Vegas?
