Rather than try to cover already covered ground, I thought I would republlish the press recap of an important Southern Nevada charity helping men and women living with HIV AIDS.

Golden Rainbow celebrated 27 years of service to men, women and children living with HIV/AIDS in Southern Nevada at its 27th annual “Ribbon of Life” fundraiser at The Smith Center for the Performing Arts on Sunday, June 30.

“Ribbon of Life” raised more than $152,000 and drew in a crowd of 1,424 attendees. The extravaganza’s lineup included world-renowned, two-time Grammy winning singer Jon Secada, NBC’s “America’s Got Talent” star Michael Grimm, and cast members from the Las Vegas Strip’s premier shows. TV personality Chris Saldaña and Edie of Cirque Du Soleil’s Zumanity hosted the spectacular that featured special tributes to legendary artists Elvis Presley, The Beatles, Stevie Wonder, Simon & Garfunkel, Billy Joel, The Bee Gees, Stephen Sondheim, Burt Bacharach, Hal David, Liberace, Kenny Kerr; NBC’s “America’s Got Talent;” films “Dirty Dancing,” “The Lion King,” “Funny Girl,” “Nine;” and Nkosi Johnson, a South African child who made a powerful impact on public perceptions of HIV/AIDS and its effects before his death at the age of 12. Aside from Secada and Grimm, this year’s acts included performers Clint HolmesJosh StricklandWes WintersFrankie Moreno and Reva Rice; vocal groups Mo5aicThe Las Vegas TenorsHuman Nature and Celebrity City Chorus; members from Jubilee! and VEGAS! the Show; and many more.

In addition to the fundraising spectacular, Golden Rainbow hosted a silent auction with exclusive prizes including tickets to some of Las Vegas’ top shows, dinner at the city’s best restaurants and trips to premier destinations. The celebration continued at Mingo, Kitchen & Lounge for the official “Ribbon of Life” after party where cast members and guests came together to honor the success of the show. For every “Sweet Sensation” drink purchased, Mingo, Kitchen & Lounge donated $2 back to Golden Rainbow.

All proceeds from “Ribbon of Life” benefit the nonprofit’s efforts in providing housing and direct financial assistance to the Southern Nevada HIV/AIDS community. As a result of the last year’s fundraising efforts, Golden Rainbow provided 8,184 nights of shelter, 527 days of utility assistance, 1,054 days of transportation and medical and dental assistance to more than 500 households in 2012.

“Ribbon of Life” 2014 is set to return to The Smith Center for the Performing Arts in July. For more information on Golden Rainbow or to order copies of this year’s “Ribbon of Life,” please visit www.goldenrainbow.org.

Old and New Vegas Vibe, Unscripted, Uncensored - Sapphire Comedy Hour Has it All

Video of Mon Dre performing at  Sapphire Comedy Hour by Frankie Tease. I finally found a show as raunchy and classy as I like it, and it's at the world's largest strip club, Sapphire Las Vegas. The club is well-known in town, for topless entertainment and great bottle and V.I.P. service. It also just opened a topless (pastied) pool and dayclub which is very fun. But even more new, they have been rolling out a show in the state-of-the art (wicked comfortable) Sapphire Showroom a few feet from the main entrance. I attended the Media Night for Sapphire Comedy Hour , hosted by the Producer/Director of the show Brett Feinstein (son of the owner). Feinstein's associates are Decade-Long Las Vegan, Douglas “Lefty” Leferovich    who is creative director, magic consultant, and featured entertainer, while Philip Peredo, head of Tickle Me Entertainment, books the majority of the comedians and brings up the third slot in this pyramid of power. Peredo, Feinstein, Le...

24 hr.Vegas Strip Club Opens Day Club "Sapphire Pool", Cinco De Mayo Wknd. 2013

The largest topless strip club in the world just got larger, and it decided to go outside to expand. The club was 70,000 feet before and boasts topless dancers, and an all male review for the ladies in a separate showroom. It even has a comedy and variety show. Several stages, 400 entertainers and open 24 hours, many could ask how that could be improved. Enter the great outdoors. The $8 million day club is pretty swanky. The cabanas are lush and plenty. Comfort? Yes. Completely separate but visible VIP? Yes. On-site grill, tons of shower fountains and also lovely water falls mixed with a full bar and amazing service will obviously be one of the hottest new and lasting clubs in Las Vegas. The 800 capacity pool area will be a go-to spot, especially after the launch they have planned. What sets it apart? Dancers are not necessarily doing lap dances, but they will be making new friends and lounging at the pool in their off times says Shai Cohen one of the organ...

Sapphire Comedy Hour - Surprise: A Strip Club with Good Entertainment

I was invited by the headliner to interview him at a new to me comedy show in Vegas. I understood this, it was a comedy show at a strip club. Being an ex-stripper, I liked the idea right away. Little did I know it was star-studded with variety acts and comedians. Awesome. I walked through the strip club. Not just any, it's the largest strip club in the world which also features male strippers. Topless dancers were working to my left as I was escorted by the concierge to the showroom separate from the main floor. The showroom was huge. This is the room that houses the male review at 10pm, but preceding it was the comedy show which is a weekly Friday 8:00pm show.  A local comedian Ricky Byrne (Host of Mood Comedy Dinner Show at the Artisan Hotel Las Vegas) was the feature of the show and started things off with some urban humor. I guessed he was Puerto Rican, and definitely too good looking to be a comedian, yet also funny. He gave way to variety act Set...
