Goodbye for this year Viva Las Vegas. It's never easy to leave you. What a stunner closing show we had with Big Sandy as host. The Sun Records heyday was relived and for me, Hayden Thompson was the go to guy. He sounded so smooth, and the closest voice I've heard to Johnny Cash in person. Wow. Time to see the sun show and perhaps late night trouble with the Tom Ingram hoppin records at 130am at big als. The Satin Dollz are a cross between the Rockettes and the Andrew Sisters. Pretty great.

Just left a final burlesque bingo at buzz n brushes. So much fun. Both Audrey and Tom did the splits And the room was packed. Now in showroom awaiting the jives and doll show. A rousing USO style.

Swing Dance / Jive Contest inserted reporting...
The judges choose their top six out of everyone.
THREE COUPLE DANCE FOR PRIZES AND CASH
SIX COUPLES DANCE - JUDGES ELMINATED THREE
The three eliminated included the audience favorite. As a dance instructor, I know not why they were eliminated- they were great performers with good tricks and great form. Another upset- It's not that serious of a competition at all - to say the least. But it's fun and always well attended. Another couple from L.A. won again this year, like last year. I was told that one year a child won. We KNOW that it's not based on skill in that case, because a child can't reach their partner to lead.
The Hula Girls are always amazing. They performed post-swimsuit contest. Swimsuit contest done. The pool now has a tattoo contest but I'm choosing the swing dance contest upstairs to cover. Here is a word from the host of the swimsuit contest, Victor Trevino a Vegas show star who plays "Elvis" at Flamingo. Contestant 13 took 2nd place from Sweden, and contestant 2 took 1st place, and won a Gretsch Guitar!

Moving again successfully. Is it fair to have this many choices for day four of Viva? Pool parties and tons of great contests including the 6:30pm upstairs Jive Dance contest. Won't miss that. Then Burlesque Bingo 7pm, 8:30 the Satin Dollz are always totally stunning - Showroom.

Super tired from our four day soiree, but woke up laughing from all the joy that has been brought by the entertainers at Viva. There is one more Burlesque Bingo installment left, many wonderful bands including the Moonlight Howlers upstairs at 3pm, and still the vintage shopping to get the Viva merchandise we can't live without. See you in a couple hours again live from the Orleans Hotel.
